- Special counsel Robert Mueller just submitted his report about Donald Trump to the attorney general on Friday afternoon.
- While we anxiously wait for General William Barr to decide how much of the report he wants to release to the public, Twitter is doing what Twitter does best: making memes.
Following his two-year investigation into Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia’s involvement in the 2016 election, special counsel Robert Mueller just submitted his findings in a report to the attorney general William Barr. Which, in case you weren’t sure, is a BIG DEAL.
As of now, Barr hasn’t publicly released any parts of the report or Mueller’s investigation, but Trump’s not a fan. He called it a “witch hunt” to the public, and throughout Mueller’s investigation, the president didn’t agree to any interviews with him because Trump’s lawyers thought it might be a “trap.”
That said, Trump’s lawyers did submit a written response saying, “It is time to bring this inquiry to a conclusion.” Plus, yesterday Trump responded to someone saying hi to him with “no collusion. No collusion.”
What everyone can expect eventually, though, are Mueller’s findings on whether or not there are “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump” or “any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation.”
Since there’s not much to be said about what’s in the report right this immediate second though, the internet has resorted to doing what it does best—making memes and sharing exactly what they think about Mueller’s 5 p.m. submission on Twitter.
Do enjoy the following tweets as you await whatever TF is in that manilla folder. Fingers crossed Mueller wrote it on the iPhone notes app like your fave celebs do when sh*t goes down!
